The Founder

A long-time award winning jazz musician, Freddie Jones was performing at a show in Grapevine, TX in 2007 when two young girls came to hear him play. They were interested in music, yet their mother was financially unable to buy a trumpet for them and he decided to give them one. Trumpets4Kids was born.

Get an Instrument

Nominate or apply for an instrument. Music fosters the development of attention and listening skills; it assists in emotional development; and music involvement is known to enhance self-esteem and confidence.

Once students receive an instrument they are required to maintain a strict practice schedule, and perform for their community.
